1. A copy of your current, valid Passport Identification Page, Visa Stamp/Sticker, and I-94 card.


Or


2. An Approval Notice from the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (BCIS) confirming approval of your current legal status.


Or


3. A copy of the Receipt Notice from the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (BCIS) indicating receipt of your application for a change-of temporary status.

IMPORTANT: If your application to BCIS for a change to Permanent Resident Status in the US is currently being adjudicated, please follow the UNC Charlotte application instructions for “domestic” applicants.

Applicants on B, C, D, F, J, M, P, Q, S visa status or applicants who are considered undocumented students cannot be considered for North Carolina Resident Status for Tuition Purposes.

Other international students may be eligible for consideration for North Carolina Resident Status for Tuition Purposes. This may include applicants on A, E, G, H, I, K, L, N, O, R, TN, T, U, V visa status.

International applicants who wish to be considered for NC Resident Status for Tuition Purposes at UNC Charlotte must submit the completed Undergraduate Residency and Tuition Status Application and all supporting documentation to the Office of International Undergraduate Admissions.
